Ontario Festivals
For
many people enjoying one of Ontario's festivals can be a high light of
either winter or summer. Festivals come in all shapes and sizes with
all kinds of different focuses. Many towns become noted for their
yearly festivals such as Kleinburg's
Binder Twine Festival. Others move around such as the International Plowing
Match. Most
festivals are theme based and it is just a question of finding the
theme that you are interested in and the corresponding time to visit
them. Festivals.Some
of our festivals celebrate our heritage, others crafts, while others
celebrate the seasons. They are spread all across Ontario and at all
times of year. Explore a bit and see what tickles your fancy. Here
is a list of some of my favorite festivals: Home County Folk Festival,
London.Home County provides a spectrum of folk music and
crafts. This is a free festival and is enjoyable for all ages. Victoria
park London. Marshville
Heritage Festival, Wainfleet. This festival is usually hot so
bring water and sun screen. Balls Falls
Craft Festival, Balls Falls. This is one of the craft
festivals that started the craft festival trend in Ontario. Located
just south of Vineland on Thanksgiving weekend in Balls Falls
Conservation Area. The show has many visitors but few realize that if
they finish the craft section early, they can take a leisurly walk up
to the falls and view it. Ask staff for directions to the trail. The
profits from the show go directly to the Niagara Peninsula Conservation
Authority. Hillside Music Festival,
Guelph. This festival provides good folk music and a whole lot
of fun for all ages. You can stay at Guelph lake campground and enjoy
an early morning dip then off to the island for the day of music.
